Wine and dine with Bettie Bandana for a good cause

The evening aimed to raise funds for the non-profit organisation.

It has been yet another successful fundraiser for the Bettie Bandana non-profit organisation (NPO).

On Wednesday, June 14 guests were invited to the Indlela Country Estate in Del Judor for a wine pairing evening.

Winemaker Charles Hopkins attended the evening and gave great insights on how to enjoy different wines and also etiquette for serving and drinking wine correctly.

Each attendee received a pairing menu with different food items that go with different wines.

 

For the Merlot, there was a peach and apricot chicken parcel and the Chardonnay was served with fried shrimp balls, lemongrass and sauce to mention a few.

All the proceeds go towards helping cancer patients.

Bettie Bandanna started as an initiative when Retha van Greunen, in 2016 was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and has been hosting many fundraisers for the cause.
