Water leak in Industrial Crescent unattended for three months now

After three months no repair has been made and no feedback given.

Residents and business owners alike are fed up with the lack of cooperation from the municipality.

Three months ago a pipe burst in Industrial Crescent, Klipfontein causing water spillages all over the road.

According to residents, the matter has been reported to the municipality on March 15. After the matter was reported members of the repair team were on site to open the pipe but no repairs have been done.

Currently, there is just a water-filled hole.

Local ward councillor, Kim Faduk said that she and the business owners in the area have also reported the issue continuously to no avail.

“It’s so frustrating because water is being wasted, long exposure of running water causes potholes and cries of help from the council go unnoticed,” Faduk said.

WITBANK NEWS reached out to the municipal spokesperson, Lebo Mofokeng but no comment was given.
