Klarinet Dortmund Football Club crowned champions of Peneul Nathi Trading Soccer Tournament

Dortmund after missing scoring opportunities scored their winning goal after one of their forwards draw the NSSD goalkeeper out of his position and unleashed a shot to make it 2-1.

Klarinet Dortmund FC has been crowned the champions of the Peneul Nathi Trading Soccer and Netball u.17 Tournament.

 

The matches were played at Lynnville Stadium on Monday, May 1.

Klarinet Dortmund FC celebrating after being crowned the Peneul Nathi Trading Soccer and Netball U17 Tournament champions.

 

The tournament was organised by Peneul Nathi Trading Mine in association with Pastor Ray Mabena of Umlilo Wevangela, Emalahleni Local Municipality Sports and Recreation Department, Pastor David Lesese (Lesese Trading Enterprise) and Kasi Football Association.

The match started with both teams attacking but, Dortmund had the upper hand and created several scoring chances.

 

NSSD started to play with more purpose and they had built up from the back and they created numerous scoring opportunities.

 

They were rewarded after taking the game to their opponents and scored after a Dortmund defender committed a mistake trying to flick the ball to his goalkeeper. 

 

After leading 1-0 NSSD were on the roll as they attack with more players pushing forward.

 

In one of their attacks, a shot was saved for a corner kick. Dortmund seeing the danger, they reorganise their play and started playing their normal passing game.

They were nearly rewarded after they had several corner kicks. In one of their attacks a forward missed after failing to beat the goalkeeper.

 

With the clocks ticking towards the end of the first half a NSSD player dribbled his way past Dortmund defenders but failed to score.

 

NSSD led 1-0 and the teams break for half-time.

 

In the second half, Dortmund was the better team and they attack from the wings and a player after being set on a pass failed to connect.

 

Dortmund were on the attack and they scored after one of their players was brought down in the penalty area, they level the score to 1-1.

From that onwards it was Dortmund all the way as they upped the tempo. In one of their attacks, a point-blank shot from one of their forwards was saved by NSSD goalkeeper.

In the semi-finals; Klarinet Dortmund FC beat Thushanang United 3-1 while NSSD beat Real Ovies 4-1 to advance to the finals.
