endless queue blocked motorists passing Neven Street.

“I woke up around 05:00 and got myself and the baby ready for the journey. I arrived early at around 06:30 because the queue is long as you can see. I spent a lot of money certifying relevant copies and traveling to the police station as well as travelling to this venue,” she cried.

The 26-year-old mother who wished to remain anonymous said it is hard because she has been unemployed for four years, “I have been trying to submit my CV since last week but the queue was too long, and traveling back and forth is costly. I am praying to get this job,” the mother expressed.

Emalahleni Community Uprising for Employment (Ecufe) expressed their concerns regarding the alleged claims of individuals with political connections who use those structures to get jobs.

In a statement issued to Emalahleni Executive Mayor, Councillor Conny Nkalitshana Ecufe stated that their objective is to have a hub that will not only address issues of employment although it is their primary objective but also be able to address societal issues such as community under various wellness programmes.
