‘Uncle Phineas’ is on stage this weekend sharing life lessons

Valuable lessons are to be learned from a show on Saturday, aimed at skills development.

The Witbank Arts Campus in collaboration with other community art centres such as Izondela Arts Centre, Touch the Heart and Tre’s Animé, bring you an ‘info-tainment’ show called the ABC of a performance.

This endeavour is targeting community development, disability awareness and is the motivation for parents to allow their children to do arts as a career.

The ABC of a performance showcases the life of ‘Uncle Phineas’ who owns an art centre in the location.

“He is madly in love with the arts industry. His gifts and talents were too much to turn a blind eye on ever since his toddler stages,” Mari Lombard from Witbank Arts Campus said.

With the help of the Emalahleni Civic Theatre, it was possible for auditions and rehearsals and ultimately hosting the performance on February 18. The show starts at 15:00.

“The project is all about skills development and mentorship and sharing valuable information,” Mari said.
