Discussions held explaining the purpose of why God has set men on earth

The organisation is worried about youth collection and development and helping men grow.

The Emalahleni Men of Destiny under the chairmanship of founder Pastor Ignatius Mahlangu has set themselves programmes for men to help them minimise the challenges they face daily as men.

Pastor Mahlangu formed the organisation in 2010 to help men to know about their roles as men within the family set-up and the community.

Mahlangu also held discussions explaining the purpose of why God has set men on earth.

Another programme about youth has also been added.

“As an organisation, we are concerned about youth collection and development. We want to build the youth’s character by focusing mainly on schools, but we have since shifted to focus on the community after we encountered some problems with the Department of Education.

In 2015 and 2017 we had a successful programme at Witbank Prison focusing on men; the main focus being men and God. The programme was set to try and bring inmates to understand the purpose God had for their lives. The programme was very successful, the only challenge was financing,” Pastor Mahlangu explained.

Pastor Mahlangu pointed out that as an organisation they have realised that most men have lost their jobs and now they have embarked on job creation programmes.

They have already started a farming programme at Jackaroo Park planting vegetables.

They have already identified and sent a proposal to the executive mayor about a plot in Marikana.

They also want to start a farming project, planting vegetables, poultry farming and building a resort.

Pastor Mahlangu added to say that they also sent a proposal to the Department of Education to start programmes on bullying as a matter of urgency.

The organisation is concerned about bullying and that most boys are growing up without a father figure in their families.
