Police suspects serial rapist in Del Judor – women warned to be careful
A suspected serial rapist is behind the reported rape attacks ibn Del Judor,
Two cases of rape have been lodged at the Witbank Police Station recently.
In the first instance it is alleged that the victim was raped by an unknown male in an open field next to Mandela Road.
According to police it is believed that the assailant is a serial rapist, as many previous cases have been reported where victims are targeted and raped in the same area, as the modus operandi is consistent with previously reported cases.
In another attack, the victim claims that she was out with her husband at a tavern on Sunday, February 5, when she decided to go home after a long night.
At 04:00 upon arriving home, she was getting ready for bed when she heard her front door open.
Upon inspecting what the noise could be, she allegedly noticed her husband’s friend in the doorway.
The assailant then continued to strangle the female victim demanding intercourse.
The assailant took out a knife and pointed it at the victim and proceeded to allegedly rape her.
Luckily for the victim, the neighbors heard her screams and came to her rescue. A case of rape has been opened at the Witbank Police Station.
