Ga-Nala residents are warned to be careful on Thursdays as suspected abductors are lurking around

Constable Angel Makubu pleads with the community not to be culprits of crime and report any suspicious actions to the police.

Kriel Police warns the Ga-Nala community to be alert about the two men who are allegedly committing house robberies and kidnapping every Thursday in Ga-Nala.

One of the suspects described by a victim has a cross tattoo under his right eye.

A man whose stays in Denne Street in the small Highveld town, claimed that he heard a loud bang coming from the spare room window at about 02:00 in the morning.

The man allegedly saw two unknown men inside the house and he said their faces were covered with masks and wearing gloves.

The suspects then allegedly tied the victim with a belt before allegedly stealing electronic equipment and his Ford Ranger vehicle, music equipment, and cellphones.

It is also believed the suspects kidnapped and abducted the victim’s wife at gunpoint and later demanded a ransom be paid for her return on Thursday, February 2.

Kriel Police spokesperson Constable Angel Makubu warns the public to be safe at all times.

She said that these kidnappers usually came on Thursdays for house robberies and kidnapping,

“After the abduction they will demand the amount of R10 000,” Makubu said.

She further provided tips to the community of Ga-Nala and surrounding areas to always lock the doors and gates during the day and night and not to open for strangers.

Makubu pleaded with the community not to be culprits of crime and report any suspicious actions to the police.
