Tavern robbed in MNS informal settlement
The suspects are accused of fleeing with an unspecified amount of cash and cigarettes.
A local tavern was robbed over the weekend by a group of unidentified armed suspects who allegedly appeared out of nowhere.
The incident is believed to have happened on January 23 at the MNS informal settlement.
The tavern’s owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, confirmed that the incident happened around 23:00 and that they were attacked by at least five armed suspects.
The area was also believed to be crowded at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt because the suspects gained entry by firing gunshots outside, according to him.
