Ecufe march to municipal offices

The organisation raised a number of issues, amongst those was the cry for better job opportunities.

Members of Emalahleni Community Up and Rising for Employment (Ecufe) gathered outside the mayoral offices this morning in attempts to end corruption, amongst other issues.

The organisation outlined that the matter of job opportunities must be taken seriously by Emalahleni Local Municipality.

Thabang Makhufe said that although he is disappointed in the turnout and participation from the community, he is overall happy with the response provided by Emalahleni Local Municipality Executive Mayor Councillor Conny Nkalitshana.

He further emphasised the issue of job opportunities being given to unworthy candidates.

“The municipality should stop implementing old structures and put in place young and active people who know exactly what the youth in our communities need,” he outlined
