Phola SAPS together with the CPF and the Youth Desk conducted a Door to Door Awareness Campaign for 16 Days of Activism against Women and Children Abuse, (GBV) and Domestic Violence.
The campaign was led by Phola Communications Official Sergeant Thabang Petros Ntuli together with the Community Police Forum (CPF) secretary Mrs Gabisile Ndakisa, Youth Desk Chairperson Mr Xolani Mashiloane and the Crime Information Management Analysis Centre (Cimac) official Sergeant Nonhlanhla Monama.
Informative pamphlets for 16 Days of Activism against Women and Children Abuse, GBV, and Domestic Violence were handed out to the community of Phola on Tuesday, December 13.
Residents were also educated on the matter of domestic abuse, and where they should report it.
The campaign was a success as members of the community engaged with police officials, raised concerns and asked relevant questions.
