Local legend soccer player honoured

He scored over 100 goals for the club and in 1978 Junior won the Top Goal Scorer Award.

Thomas ‘Junior’ Ngobe, former Witbank Black Aces player was honoured by TUT eMalahleni for the role he played by playing for his team and the country in the 80s.

He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement.

He represented the country by playing for the South African Black Squad and later played in the Austrian first division.

He scored over 100 goals for the club and in 1978 Junior won the Top Goal Scorer Award in the NPSL with 40 goals for Witbank Aces.

He is the father to his two sons, former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star Dumisa ‘Isphithiphithi’ Ngobe and Randy Ngobe playing for Witbank Citylads.
