From a humble beginning, Manana has won many awards in the past.

She is rising like a shining star in a dark night. She has been working with young people in Vosman offering them hope and now deservingly so, Frieda Manana, founder of Mzansi Modelling Agency has been recognised for her work.

From a humble beginning, Manana has won many awards in the past and recently has been nominated for the South African Heroines Awards a few months ago by Ms Sonto Nyembezi after she saw her hard work around eMalahleni and around the province of Mpumalanga.

“Even my agency has not been to many places and I have doing charity work mainly in eMalahleni. I shared the work I have done in the past with Ms Nyembezi. I was surprised to receive a call from the South African Heroines Awards CEO that I have been nominated for the awards. She urged me to get people to vote for me because she believed in me. I also received a lot of encouragement from other people who are supporting me for the work I have done in the past,” said Manana.

Manana then started urging people to vote for her and the response was amazing.

Even though at some stage she had her doubts, but people and friends supported her all the way and they pushed her.

Manana realised that her work had an impact in other people’s lives and that was shown by the support she was receiving.

She was first selected for the top ten and then top five and was surprised and shocked and could not believe that she was among the top five after her name was announced.

It dawned on her of the love people has shown to her.

“I cried and I was out of words, asking myself how did this happen? I had great moments with South African celebrity Connie Chiume seating and talking to me the whole day. It felt like I was dreaming to be with the queen of KwaZulu-Natal and other important people. I was really amazed to be invited to the Ultimate Black Panther Wakanda Forever movie première and be there with all the celebrities. I love what I am doing and I know it will open doors for me. I am happy to be the South African Heroines Awards 22 winner, and I’m proud of myself,” added Manana.

She thanked all the people who have supported her and encouraged her, especially Ms Nyembezi.
