Ogies Police obtain win in a fight against crime

Phola SAPS victory against crime in sports.

The Sports Against Crime Top 4 soccer tournament was made possible by Phola SAPS in concurrence with the Phola CPF, Phola Women’s Network, Phola Men for Change, Youth Desk, Community in Blue, Fovoc and Metropolitan Soccer Academy at Masakhane Sports Ground on Sunday, September 4.

Face of Emalahleni Finalist Thando Nkosi showed her support to the Ogies Police.

The tournament was led by Miss Thando Nkosi who is the Face of Emalahleni Finalist and a Grade 12 learner at T.P. Sililo Secondary School in eMalahleni.

The purpose of the event was to unite the community through sports, to take the youth away from the streets, encourage them to participate in sporting activities, and as well as giving Miss Thando Nkosi (Face of Emalahleni Finalist) the platform to encourage and motivate people to vote for her as well as to support the main Face of Emalahleni event that will take place at eMalahleni Civic Theatre in due course.

 

The event was a success and made possible by Phola SAPS represented by Sgt Thabang Petros Ntuli (Communications) and Sgt Nonhlanhla Monama (Cimac) in conjunction with the Phola CPF, led by Mr Mlungisi Nkonde (CPF Chairperson), Phola Women’s Network led by Capt Khosi Maphanga (Chairperson), Phola Men for Change led by W/O Thokozani Masuku (Chairperson), Youth Desk led by Mr Xolani Mashiloane (Chairperson), Community in Blue led by Mr Scelo Skosana, Fovoc led by Ms Tshepiso Ramphamodi and Metropolitan Soccer Academy led by Mr Oscar Shabangu.

Ogies Police lift their trophy after victory.

Subsequently, the Phola/Ogies SAPS soccer team became victorious and lifted the trophy that was handed by Mr Oscar Shabangu of the Metropolitan Soccer Academy to the captain of the group, Constable Paulos Lapisi.
