A child was killed by a car on Vulindlela Street (near the bridge) in Phola, and the driver surrendered to police.
The child was identified as a learner at Mabande Comprehensive High School.
The incident is believed to have occurred around 17:15 on Saturday, September 10.
The driver appeared in Ogies Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 12.
