Robbers have got their knives out for easy targets

A recent robbery took place when an unsuspecting victim got a surprise whilst stuck in traffic.

Robbers get more and more brazen with unsuspecting victims.

With an emphasis on a ‘do or die’ approach.

A recent robbery took place when an unsuspecting victim got a surprise whilst stuck in traffic.

It is alleged that on September 9 around midday, a male victim was in his car stuck in traffic.

The incident occurred in the CBD on Walter Sisulu Street.

The unsuspecting victim who was luckily not harmed was surprised by two unknown male robbers.

It is alleged that one of the robbers went to the passenger side of the vehicle and opened the door.

The victim was grabbed by the hand and with the other, the robber took the victim’s cell phone and wallet.

The other robber allegedly standing on the driver’s side of the vehicle was holding a knife by means to threaten the already panicked victim.

The two male suspects fled and a case of robbery was opened at Witbank SAPS.

“It is important to remember to always keep doors locked and windows closed when in slow-moving traffic or when stopping at a stop sign or traffic light. Complying with robbers is the best route to take as earthly possessions can be replaced but a life can not. Try to stay calm and listen to what the robber says and give them your co-operation. Try to remember the description of the suspect/s, especially the language and clothing they are wearing. This information can be given to the police in a statement,” says Captain Eddie Hall, Spokesperson for Witbank SAPS.
