Local team Coal City Wizards have played and have lost all three of their games in a single month.
They lost 1-0 to Bloem Celtics in round 14 on August 7 at home and on Tuesday, August 9 they lost again to Vasco da Gama 3-1.
Another three points were lost when they were playing UJ. They will need to pull up their socks in the next coming games.
For starters, they will need to win their next home game against Tsunami Ladies.
The other fixtures and results stand as follows: On Saturday, August 13, Thunderbirds beat Golden Ladies 3-0, Tsunami Queens beat First Touch 1-0, TUT won 6-0 against Durban Ladies, grabbing another massive win in their quest to dethrone Sundowns Ladies as the Queens of South Africa at the TUT Pretoria Stadium.
JVW also kept their title charge alive with a 3-1 win away to Richmond United.
Tsunami Queens bagged their first win of the season after beating First Touch FC at the Bohlokong Stadium in Bethlehem. They’ll need a few more wins in the coming weeks if they are to stave off their relegation concerns.
On the topic of relegation concerns, Golden Ladies have now been cut adrift at the bottom of the standings after they were beaten by Thunderbirds.
Elsewhere in the league, UJ beat Coal City Wizards 1-0, UWC ran out 2-0 winners against City Lads while Bloem Celtic won 1-0 away at Vasco da Gama.
Coming fixtures to be played on Wednesday, August 17: Durban Ladies vs Thunderbirds Ladies (13:00), Bloem Celtics vs UWC (15:00), Vasco da Gama vs UJFC (15:00), City Lads vs TUT FC (15:00), Coal City Wizards vs Tsunami Ladies (15:00), First Touch vs Richmond United (15:00), JVW FC vs Ma-Ladies (15:00) and on Thursday, August 18 Golden Ladies will play against Sundowns Ladies (15:00).
The Wizards have only managed four wins in 14 matches, losing the other 10 and getting only 12 points in return; they are positioned 12th on the log.
*A consolation for the local ladies was that on Wednesday, August 17 at the Puma Stadium; Coal City Wizards beat Tsunami Queens 3-0.
