Emalahleni shutdown – community at the municipal office to demonstrate their dismay

Protest action moving from municipality at this stage.

The planned shutdown of eMalahleni fell in place as the community is marching through the Central Business District (CBD) currently.

This march follows after a statement was issued on August 2 by the Emalahleni Civic Organisation (ECO).

The protest is against the municipality’s use of Johan Coetzee Attorneys as their debt collector.

Sporadic protest actions are also taking place in Tasbetpark and at the KG Mall since this morning.

Try to avoid these areas.
