After two carjackings Vosman Police are looking for suspects

Everyday is carjacking day in eMalahleni.

No arrests have been made in connection with the most recent two carjackings, and Vosman Police are on the lookout for the perpetrators.

On Wednesday, July 6 a man’s generosity was thrown back into his face after two suspects allegedly fled with his Mercedes Benz.

It was allegedly around 10:15, when the man was carjacked while driving to assist two suspects who had requested assistance.

According to reports, the two suspects approached the complainant and asked for help because their vehicle had broken down at Ferrobank while he was reversing out of his yard.

On the way along the R104 route at Schoongezicht one suspect allegedly threatened him with a firearm and ordered him to the back seat before ordering him to get out of the car.

The victim also discovered that the suspects were escorted by a grey Audi with a GP registration.

The police advise the community not to stay at the taverns until the morning because they are being targeted.

This follows the recovery of an alleged carjacked vehicle and the owner’s injury from a beer bottle on Thursday, July 7 at Extension 9.

A carjacking was reported after two suspects allegedly left with a Hyundai i30 at around 02:00 when the victim was driving by in Ext 19.

Allegedly the two suspects stopped him and forcefully removed the key from the ignition.

It is said that the victim was rescued by people passing by and they took him to Vosman Police Station.

The complainant was then taken to hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information that could lead to an arrest, should call Detective Colonel Hellen Masombuka at 082 303 9938.

WITBANK NEWS has previously reported on several carjackings that have occurred.

Victims were left traumatized, some even injured.

Motorists are urged to be vigilant when driving.
