Get your tekkies on for the GTR is happening

The race will take place on August 20 at Witbank Dam.

News broke that the Rotary GTR2022 Race is on again.

“After two years of being dormant due to Covid-19, we are more than ready to get the ball rolling again,” said Monica Joao, one of the organisers of the GTR.

The race will take place on August 20 at Witbank Dam.

There will be a 3 km team run consisting of three team members as well as 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km individual races.

The entry fee will be: R150 per team for the 3 km team run, R40 for the 5 km run, R80 for the 10 km run, and R100 for the 15 km run.

Temporary licences are R40.

The purpose of the event is first and foremost a nation-building exercise in which all members of the community can participate in raising funds that can be reinvested into local community projects.

Due to the Rotary GTR not being able to take place the past two years, many beneficiaries could not be assisted.

“With your entry, we are hoping to donate towards various community projects once again,” said Monica.

There are still sponsorship opportunities available as well.
