Police finds man after drowning near Ga-Nala

After days of searching, the body of a 43-year-old man was retrieved from a nearby stream.

Nearly two weeks after a man was reported missing police divers found his body earlier today.

This tragedy played off in a stream close to Ga-Nala.

It is alleged that the man fell into the river and drowned.

Police have opened an inquest case following the sad incident.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela urged the public to consider the recent rains and stay clear of dams and rivers.

“The incident is regrettable. We, therefore, request community members to think twice before coming closer to the rivers or dams for whatever reason as this might place their lives at risk,” the general said.
