Robbers get down to business in Hlalanikahle

A business robbery allegedly occurred in Hlalanikahle when two robbers approached a man at his shop pretending to look for cigarettes, shot the padlock to the shop and took an airtime machine, an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

Robbers disguised themselves in a smokescreen when two male suspects allegedly robbed a business in Hlalanikahle by pretending to be customers looking for cigarettes.

On the evening of May 30, Vosman Police Station received a complaint and opened a case of business robbery.

It is alleged that a man was at his shop when two men acting as customers approached him, gave him 50 cents and asked for cigarettes.

It is believed that while he was concentrating, one of the suspects pulled out a pistol, instructed him to open the shop as the burglar door was locked, and he refused to do so.

Allegedly, the suspect with the pistol shot the padlock to gain access, where after he and the other suspect took an airtime machine, an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. No arrests have been made, and the case is being investigated.
