eMalahleni for Jesus and Jesus for eMalahleni prayer service

Late Clr Linah Malatjie always said Emalahleni was a City of God.

Ibutho Lamanxusa held a prayer service, confirming that eMalahleni is for Jesus and Jesus is for eMalahleni.

The prayer session was held in a packed Lynnville Hall on Wednesday, May 18. According to a definition of intercession or intercessory prayer – it is the act of asking or requesting to a deity or to a saint in heaven to pray on behalf of oneself or others ‒ intercession prayers should be made for all people.

Prayers, intercession and thanksgiving should be made for all people and all those in authority, so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. The early Christians continued to practice intercessory prayer on behalf of others after Jesus’ death.

She said God has given the people of eMalahleni a message to pass to other people as we are the body of Christ and that God has given us power and authority.

Nkangala District Mayor Clr Leah Mabuza in honour of the late executive mayor of eMalahleni, Clr Linah Malatjie, said that she always prayed and confirmed that eMalahleni was a City of God and thanked God for the life she spent with us.

She added to say that she was a product of the Combined Women of Prayer at the Rock of Ages Church.

She urged the women to work together and to pray for leadership to do the correct things, breaking all the evil things and the evil walls. She pointed out that Women of Prayer were needed to participate in public affairs.

“Please continue to pray for our leaders and our children. Let’s join hands to fight crime, drugs and evil spirits. Let’s give hope to people so that they can trust us and transfer hope to the younger generations, our future leaders.”

Pastor Shirley Msibi thanked the organisers of the event and urged them to continue to pray for the future because God has trust in them.

Ms Thoko Matsimbi presented a poem about spirituality.
