Residents of Klipfontein Farm in Ogies receives educational surprise from police officials

Phola SAPS embarks on a journey to save victims lives.

The officers at Phola Police Station continues to educate and reach out to surrounding community members.

The officials have been hosting Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence Awareness Campaigns in and around Phola, Ogies.

Acting station commander, Captain Jan Kamfer and his team of officers, Women’s Network, Men for Change and FOVOC representatives visited the Klipfontein Farm on Wednesday, May 18.

The aim of this campaign is to educate both young and old people about the pandemic that is silently killing women and children.

The communications officer of the station, Sergeant Petros Ntuli said that other role players who participated and made the event successful were Phola CPF team which was led by Mr Jabulani Shabangu (deputy chairperson), Phola Women’s Network led by Captain Khosi Maphanga, Phola Men for Change led by Warrant Officer Thokozani Masuku and Miss Tshepiso Ramphamodi, who is a social worker from FOVOC.

“The campaign was successful and pamphlets were issued; all the residents appreciated the visit and asked for more visits and more police visibility during the nights to prevent stock theft that they experience,” he added.
