Four mighty gospel groups show their talent

Four clap and tap gospel choirs shared the stage at the Lynnville Hall to entertain with their music.

The show was organised by Dolezar 11 Music Entertainment.

Clap and tap music has a long history, and the genre’s success in South Africa since the 1980s has proven that its popularity has grown over the years.

According to information, the country has over 2 000 national recording choirs and over six million supporters.

This industry has grown significantly since its inception, over 40 years ago.

Mighty Oh Lord from Meadowlands in Gauteng singing during the show held on Sunday, May 8 at the Lynnville Hall.

The four music groups featured were: Mighty Oh Lord from Meadowlands in Gauteng, local choir Mighty Music, Mighty Praise from KwaNdebele and Mighty Preachers from eMbalenhle in Secunda.

The music is based on the movement connecting the voices, and they have unique moves to blend with the music. Most of the music makes the audience join along dancing and singing.

The Dolezar 11 Music Entertainment will present a top three show in the coming months.

The show will feature: Lesedi La Pholoso G Choir (Hendrina), Remangeloi AD (KwaNdebele) and Ubuhle Buka Jehova AD (eMbalenhle) and will be held at the Cosmos Hall in Hendrina on Sunday, June 12 starting at 12:00 until 19:00.

Sediba Sa Bophelo G Choir (eMalahleni), The Chosen Original (Meadowlands – Soweto) and St Michael C Choir (Meadowlands – Soweto) will share the stage at the Lynnville Hall on Sunday, July 3 starting at 12:00 until 19:00.
