HTS rugby and hockey teams don’t settle for less

HTS teams outplay Hoërskool Lydenburg on their sports field.

Sports players from Hoër Tegniese Skool gave Hoërskool Lydenburg a run for their money as they played on their home ground.

The schools played rugby and hockey matches against each other on Saturday, April 23.

The matches kicked off with the rugby and hockey teams filled with confidence in the morning.

The school teams were well-prepared for the games ahead on the day.

The first hockey team dedicated their game to Bridget Silubane, a learner that recently passed away.

The team made the school very proud as they won most of the games and were confident about other games.

These were the final scores of all the rugby games:

u.14 A-team won 27-5

u.14 B-team won 19-10

u.15 A-team lost 7-10

u.15 B-team won 27-12

u.16 A-team won 37-0

HTS second team won 25-7

HTS first team won 42-5

These were the final scores of all the girls’ hockey games:

u.14 A-team won 2-0

u.15 A-team lost 3-2

HTS second hockey team won 2-0

HTS first team won 6-2

These were the final scores of all the boys’ hockey games:

u.14 A-team won 5-1

u.16 team lost 7-0

HTS first team won 3-3
