A grey cloud of illegal mining activities is hanging over Duvha Park

It's alleged that illegal coal mining is taking place in the area.

Illegal mining activities in Duvha Park are alleged to be the reason behind the dark cloud of smoke and coal dust hanging over this suburb.

On May 6 the residents took to the streets and barricaded roads demanding action against the illegal mining activities.

“This is not the first time or second time that we raise our concerns and voices about this illegal activity going around in this area,” said a resident from Duvha Park.

Road users are urged to stay cautious if driving on those roads.
