Every day is open day at Laerskool Taalfees

Laerskool Taalfees welcomes children from any registered preschool.

Cheers and joyful screams was the order of the day at Laerskool Taalfees as they welcomed preschools around eMalahleni.

The school had an open day for over 15 schools, where there were a lot of activities for the children to enjoy.

The open day was held on the school’s playground on Saturday, April 23.

The preschool learners competed in various activities which their parents supported and enjoyed.

“I’m glad to see my child enjoying herself with her friend. I can see she can be a sporty person and I will encourage her to do more of it,” said one of the happy parents at the school.

The aim of the day was to showcase the school and build relationships with parents from other preschools.

The preschools that had attended were: Vinkel & Koljander, Tweety Land, Building Blocks, Scooby-Doo, Home Sweet Second Home, Riekies, Havilah, Little Teddy Bears, Bubbly Hippos, Taalfees Preschool, Winnie The Pooh, Miesha, Tiny Tots and Grace Castle.

“At our school, every day is open day. Parents are always welcome to call in and make an appointment to see the school and to enroll their children in. We take in children throughout the year, if we have space to do so,” said Tienie Prinsloo from Laerskool Taalfees.

The children let loose on the school field as there were various activities including mini rugby, tennis, jumping castles and other facilitated activities.

Other supporting oragnisations such as the school’s aftercare facility and Tina Cowley Reading Centre were there to make awareness about the facility.
