Star learner dies suddenly
When news of her death spread, messages of condolences started to stream in on social media.
Condolences are streaming in following the sudden death of a grade 11 learner from the Technical High School.
Bridget Silubane died on Tuesday, April 19.
It is believed she had an asthma attack.
“Bridget was a beautiful and bright young lady, very much loved by her family, friends and teachers. Bridget was hardworking and determined, an academic star that made her teachers and family very proud,” the school posted on their social media streams.
In March, Bridget attended the 2022 Talent Development Project orientation workshop.
She was one of 40 grade 11 learners from the Gert Sibande and Nkangala districts selected to attend this special event.
Learners were selected based on their academic performance in Physical Sciences and Mathematics in grade 10.
Year after year, she featured amongst the top 10 learners of the school.
