A man who was walking in the street was allegedly shot by a passerby and the case is being investigated.
On Friday, March 11 at 23:44 police received a call about a shooting incident in Kiepersol Street, Tasbet Park When the police arrived on the scene, they found a group of people standing around and an unknown man lying face down on the ground.
According to the information received it is alleged that the man on the ground was shot by someone in a white Quantum.
Allegedly the Quantum stopped next to the two men who were walking in the road at that stage.
Someone from the Quantum fired two shots, the bullets hit one of the men and the witness ran away from the scene.
Once the Quantum had driven away, the witness returned to his friend’s lifeless body that lay in the street.
The man was declared dead by paramedics. Members from the Local Criminal Record Centre and Pathology were on scene for further investigation.
