In 2019 Seriti launched the Business Development Programme for community development

Phola candidates Thulane Skhosana and Khulekani Mthembu have successfully completed their Business Developmrnt Programme.

“We were afforded the opportunity by Seriti, in partnership with the University of Limpopo, in giving small business owners knowledge and skills to better enhance resources and run their businesses adequately,” said Thulane.

In 2019 Seriti launched the Business Development Programme for community development which aims at stimulating the local SMME sector and fight youth unemployment in communities surrounding its operations.

On February 23, a graduation ceremony was held at Maccauvlei, Vereeniging, for the class of 2020 and 2021 where Thulane, founder of Oyco Tep Enterprise and Khulekani, founder of Khulihlelo Enterprise (Pty) Ltd, received their certificates.

“The programme has been a great aid for us small and striving SMMEs in the business sector, it has enhanced my leadership skills and knowledge of how to grow and survive as a young entrepreneur,” said Khulekani.

The guys said that they felt so fortunate being chosen amongst masses as the only two Phola community representatives.
