Baby found lying in thick grass near Puma Stadium
The baby was taken to Witbank Provincial Hospital for a check-up

A newborn baby was found near the Puma Stadium lying in thick grass, placed in a blanket.
The abandoned girl was found on Tuesday, February 8 just after 10:00 by a group of school children in the area.
They managed to wave down a motorist who stopped to see what was going on and that is when he saw the baby lying in the grass wrapped in a blanket.
The police, the provincial ambulance service and child welfare arrived on scene to assist.
The baby was taken to Witbank Provincial Hospital for a check-up.
