Witbank Correctional Service warns residents about learnership scams
Our advertising posts have no payments attached to any application forms
After an advert made the rounds offering learnerships at the Department of Correctional Services, they made it clear that is an illegal scam.
“We want to warn the community of eMalahleni about the advert which is currently making rounds on social media. This is a scam as the Department of Correctional Services hasn’t advertised any learnership posts,” Witbank Correctional Services Human Resources Administration’s Manager, Ms Michel Ryan said.
Further on Ryan added that they are pleading to the community not to fall prey to these types of scams.
“Our advertising posts have no payments attached to any application forms. When we issue any posts, we tell the community to fetch application forms free of charge in our offices. Those who might have any information about the learnership scam should report to the nearest police station,” he added.
The community is advised to contact the Witbank Correctional Services at 013 656 8770/71 and the recruitment department will assist them.
