Fresh new wheels for the disabled in Phola

Anglo Inyosi Coal Community trust brought nothing but joy to people in the community

Anglo Inyosi Coal Community Trust continues to be a beacon for growth to the community of Phola.

The trust saw a gap within the community concerning the disabled and decided to donate wheelchairs.

The donations were handed over on Thursday, January 27 at the Tholulwazi Disability Centre in Phola.

The recipients were overjoyed to receive their donation as some could not afford wheelchairs.

Both young and old received branded wheelchairs.

Mr David Mahlangu, one of the elderly recipients said that he feels blessed that the trust could donate the wheels.

“I hope the trust could continue to help those in need in our community. I have been struggling to afford to buy prosthetic legs because they are expensive, but now I can move around easily with my new wheelchair,” added Mahlangu.

Ms Mbali Mavimbela, centre manager at Tholulwazi Disability Centre said that the trust always shows up for the needy in the community and they always want to see people thrive.

“Last year the community trust was able to donate equipment to two organisations: Sizimisele Youth Development Centre and Portia’s Heart. Both organisations have been operating effectively since then and we are therefore blessed that they came to give back to the disabled of the community,” said Mbali.
