Unkown women killed on N12

The woman was wearing a red t-shirt, a sky blue jersey and black jeans.

Phola Police are looking for the family or friends of a woman killed by a motor vehicle on the N12 freeway between Kendal and Arbor off-ramp.

The woman was reported to be killed on November 28.

According to Sergeant Lucky Ndala, he was officially on duty with Sergeant Fikile Khumalo, when they received a complaint from the Community Service Centre (CSC) that there is an accident between Kendal and Arbor off-ramp on the N12 freeway which involves a pedestrian.

Upon arrival at the scene of the accident, the body of a woman aged between 30 and 40 was lying on the ground on the roadside. The woman was wearing a red t-shirt, a sky blue jersey and black jeans.

Upon further investigation, the two sergeants were able to identify the driver who said that he was travelling from Johannesburg to Middleburg and when he passed Arbor off-ramp approaching the Kendal off-ramp, he abruptly noticed that he bumped someone who was crossing the freeway.

He stopped and called the police.

*The woman has not been identified nor has someone come to report any case of a missing person which might suit the whole event or description.

The police in Phola is asking the community to assist in finding the family or friends of the deceased woman.

A case docket of culpable homicide has been opened at Phola Police Station and police are investigating the matter.
