Herman dishes up a storm for Quade

eMalahleni is reaching out to help seven-year-old Quade Smith who battles with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Do you remember the 2013 Master Chef series and the chef with the infectious smile?

Masterchef contestant Herman Cloete had us glued to our seats in front of the television on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as he battled it out amongst some of the best chefs in the country.

Herman stole everybody’s heart as had some stand-out dishes in Boot Camp and impressed the judges on more than one occasion.

On Saturday, November 20 he will be cooking up a storm at the Taste Fest hosted Farmers Market Witbank and Vintage Emporium for Quade Smith (7).

Quade has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), which is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness.

The Smith family needs help and Farmers Market Witbank and Vintage Emporium

jumped in to lend a helping hand.

“Besides the Taste Fest, we are also going to have a live auction on some spectacular prizes. Please come and support this very worthy cause, and have fun while you are here, see Herman in action, listen to Dodo Nyoka’s angel voice, eat, drink and be merry, not to mention all the shopping at many of our market vendors,” said Ms Linda Wallace from the farmers market.

The Taste Fest is taking place from 15:00.

There will be a live auction and all the proceeds will be donated to Quade’s fund.
