Remembrance of those lost during the war

Every year a special ceremony is held on Poppy Day at the Moth Cottages

Respect was paid for those that lost their lives during the war.

Remembrance Day, or Poppy Day as it is also known, is observed every year on 11 November or on the nearest Sunday to that date to recall the end of the First World War.

After the end of the Second World War in 1945, the observance of Remembrance Day has also embraced silent remembrance of all those who have died in conflict since the First World War.

On Sunday, November 14 a special ceremony was hosted at the Moth Cottages to celebrate this day.

Paying his respects on Sunday, November 14 was Marius Blom.

The last post was played and then there was a moment of silence before various Moth members got to lay wreaths to pay respect for those they had lost.
