Over 190 ECD students graduated while four students, unfortunately, dropped out.

Seventy-four of 100 ICB students also graduated and had a beacon of hope as they launch their new careers.

Nothando Masina, who was honoured as the overall achiever for ECD said that learning the course was a great experience, even though they faced some challenges along the way.

“We learnt about the development of a child, how to treat a child and the importance of being a caregiver to a child. I am very excited and I’m planning to open my own facility to fight against unemployment,” continued Masina.

The courses commenced in 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the students could not finish their year course as they had expected.

Nevertheless, the students were overjoyed when they had a chance to walk onto the stage to receive their qualifications.

The school principal, Mr Cain Maimela said that this ceremony is a milestone for the institution as they are the first to graduate without the services of a service provider. “The college will try to work with SETA and DYDA to assist those who are willing to start their own businesses,” Maimela added.
