A morning filled with networking, fellowship, and stories about cancer survivors were enjoyed by all the women dressed in pink or who wore their pink gumboots.
On Wednesday morning, October 27 women from all works of life gathered at De La Café.
What is Bettie Bandana all about?
It’s an NPO founded by a cancer survivor.
She managed to get her best friend on board to create the character, Bettie.
Bettie Bandana developed and grew into an organisation that believes that you should celebrate life, despite the curveballs that might come your way.
Bettie Bandana was officially established and came to life as a registered NPO right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, at the start of March 2020.
They create products that they want to distribute into the communities and into the hospitals.
The main aim is to put a smile on a cancer patient’s face through the gift of giving.
Because the founder of Bettie Bandana has already walked this journey personally, they know what a cancer patient wants and what they need.
The founder of the NPO Bettie Bandana knows the questions other cancer patients might ask, the products they need, and sometimes just the inspirational quote at any given time.
