12-year-old Minienhle, the queen of eMalahleni

Laerskool Kragbron student claims Miss Queen eMalahleni title

Minienhle Xaba is only 12-years-old and wears the title of being Miss Queen eMalahleni.

The Laerskool Kragbron student which is described as an enthusiastic and bubbly girl was born in KwaZulu-Natal but is now growing up in eMalahleni.

She lives in a loving home with her family who are of great support to her dreams, ambitions and academic growth.

“My mom is my role model because she is a woman with endurance and strength,” said Minienhle.

Not only is this little beauty a pageant queen, but is really into her academics and is playing an active role at her school.

“She has been an art and class leader in the three years that she has been in her school. Amongst most of her talents, Minienhle finds pleasure in storytelling, gymnastics, reading about natural resources, its formation, singing and playing hockey for which she was nominated as one of the A-team u.11 years,” her coach from Masebotsana Modeling Academy, Wandile Litheko proudly said.

Her journey started at the beginning of 2021 when her mom saw a social post about the modelling academy.

“She took it upon herself to bring her daughter to enquire and enrol her and Minienhle was the first official student registered at the modelling academy. Her love for modelling grew greatly together with her confidence from then on. With great encouragement from me, she attempted her second pageant which took place on October 16 and she did extremely well. She was crowned Queen of Emalahleni 2021 and was also given an award for best interview for which she was delighted,” Wandile added.

Minienhle is very happy with the title and she sees it as an opportunity to participate in more charity work amongst other interests.

“I should admit that the competition wasn’t easy, but it was worth every step. I would like to thank Mr Andries du Preez for everything he has done. He was popularly known as a philanthropist and social butterfly for such amazing journeys. The lessons learned and the opportunity granted means so much to me,” said the grateful Minienhle.

She would like to thank her mom, family, friends, classmates and all the donors who played their part in ensuring that she puts a smile on the beneficiaries’ faces. She would also like to extend gratitude to the team behind her look led by Mr James.
