On October 17, a decomposed body of an unknown man was found floating in a dam at Roodeportjie Farm near Kusile Power Station.
Sergeant Sipho Mtsweni and Sergeant Velaphi Zulu from Phola Police Station attended the scene where they found the body of the man who is about 60-years-old.
The body was spotted by kids who were passing by while it was busy floating on top of the water.
According to Sergeant Mtsweni, the man was found half-naked, wearing a brown T-shirt with ‘Boston’ written on it. His trousers and jacket were found not far from the man.
All relevant role players were summoned to the scene and the man was certified dead upon the arrival of the Mpumalanga Provincial paramedics. The body was taken to Witbank Mortuary.
The man is unknown and the police are seeking assistance from the community in finding his family and friends.
