Keeping busy will keep addicts off the streets

The centre has support groups where they provide help in the form of support counseling, organizing food parcels, transportation and visit victims at hospitals to assist them with medication

The BM Mzilikazi Community project that is based in Klarinet Ext 4 has a vision to make a real difference in the community regarding the big problem of addiction.

“Our main aim is to minimize the drug, alcohol and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in our community and by starting small we will eventually make a difference,” said founder of the project Pertunia Maseko.

On October 5, the project kicked off at the Klarinet Clinic where the people which is a part of this project started by cleaning up around the clinic.

As this is only the beginning for this project to grow, they offer so much more to these people suffering from addiction, GBV or anything similar.

“We have support groups where we provide help in the form of support counseling, organizing food parcels, transportation and visit victims at hospitals to assist them with medication. Therefore we would like any sponsors or individuals to help us in the form of donations and where possible to partner with us on our campaigns,” Pertunia concluded.
