Extension 16 is experiencing an increasing number of pipe breaks, which is continuously affecting the resident’s water supply to the area.
This situation is leaving residents frustrated as water is a necessity.
Emalahleni Local Municipality team carried out and completed repairs to a pipe break yesterday, however there is another pipe break and the water supply has been isolated.
The team is continuing to try anything possible to normalise the water supply to the neighbourhood.
The network is still covered by AC pipes which are prone to pipe breaks; currently, the team is trying to reduce the water pressure and installing isolation valves at strategic points.
