Police officer succumbs to Covid-19

The mother of three will be remembered for her hard work

Witbank Police has lost one of their most hard-working police officers.

Fifty-eight-year-old Captain Sarah Khumalo lost her life due to Covid-19 related complications after being hospitalized for six weeks.

Captain Khumalo’s husband, Mr Aaron Khumalo, who is a member of the CPF said that his wife worked as a police officer for over 15 years and she loved serving her community.

The mother of three will be remembered for her hard work, dedication to her family and a loving grandmother of four.

Captain Eddie Hall, media spokesperson at Witbank Police Station said that they are devastated about the passing of Capt Sarah Khumalo.

“All the police officials and station commander, Brigadier Moses Bolton will deeply miss Capt. Khumalo and her warm laugh and humility will forever be in our hearts. May her precious soul rest in peace,” he concluded.
