Nkonjane Combined School ex-learners made a visit to their old shool to give back

Former students of Nkonjane Combined School remembered what the school gave them and they decided to return the favour by giving back to the school.

They call themselves the class of 80’s and they indicated that the school means a lot to them.

One of the students said that they feel blessed and appreciated the teachings, discipline and above all the knowledge they gained from the school.

They only met for the first time in June this year and they have plans for their school.

“A journey of a thousand miles start with a first step, our journeys started here at this school. We learned a lot from this institution, we pray, we play, we share good moments and we are now responsible citizens; that is why we are giving back so that even the present learners can learn. We are independent and responsible citizens and we want to motivate the learners. We have our children in this school because we believe in the mission and the vision of the school and we want to keep the Nkonjane flag flying high always,” said the ex-student.

The ex-students said they have also approached the school to help out to raise funds for the school and will help out in other projects of the school as well.

Mr Mandla Maseko, a former teacher at the school said they were proud of the ex-students and indicated that a healthy body has a healthy mind; hence they always have their former school in their minds. He thanked the ex-students for remembering their roots and wished them success in the future.
