The #EndPeriodPoverty Activation Campaign by Blessed Givers led by Khethiwe Mashiyane and Julia Mtshali and The Vibe Movement led by Mduduzi Mafolo was recently initiated to restore dignity to young girls.
On Friday, September 10 they went to Kromdraai Combined School to donate sanitary towels and toiletries to 55 young girls in need. The pack is estimated to cover each girl for three months; they also left some loose pads at the school to aid other learners.
With this initiative they aim at restoring dignity and hope to these young girls that face demoting situations daily, to motivate, inspire and build their characters; they also encourage the love and importance of education, and to help prevent social crimes.
It is saddening to learn what these young girls have to go through just to obtain sanitary towels, hence the initiative to help them focus on their education and worry less about the struggle of not having sanitary towels.
They would love to thank every individual that jumped in to help. They encourage more people to assist in these projects where they give back in the hope to better the lives of those that are in need, sponsorship and donors are humbly called to help.
They will be visiting another school in eMalahleni to donate more sanitary towels and toiletries to more girls that have asked for help.
To sponsor or donate towards these incredible, heartfelt initiatives please contact Khethiwe: 067 026 9831 or Mduduzi: 061 833 9313.
