Man hijacked while sleeping in his newly bought vehicle

The suspects drove the bakkie towards Kromdraai mine where he was dropped off

A man who was asleep in his vehicle in his cousin’s garden was hijacked, when he was overpowered by four armed men.

The incident occurred on Thursday, September 9 when the complainant drove to his cousin’s house in Siyanqoba.

At approximately 21:30 he was tired and fell asleep inside his Toyota Hilux bakkie.

While asleep, he was woken up by the sound of gunshots and the breaking of glass.

He then saw four unknown men standing around the vehicle with firearms.

The complainant then heard three more gunshots that echoed through the skies of Siyanqoba.

The four unknown men instructed the complainant to get out of the vehicle and climb into the back.

That is when the suspects drove the bakkie toward Kromdraai mine.

Once the suspects arrived there, they instructed the complainant to run into the bushes, and they drove off with his vehicle.

The complainant only bought the vehicle four days before the incident.
