Service delivery is below average in eMalahleni says AfriForum

Service delivery in Emalahleni Local Municipality is a huge headache.

Service delivery is very debatable in eMalahleni.

The civil rights organisation, AfriForum conducted a recent municipal audit. Emalahleni scored is very low three out of 10.

The audit is a product of the Centre for Local Government and aims to measure the quality of life and service delivery in the country’s respective municipal areas.

This audit found that Mpumalanga’s municipalities are poorly managed, and living standards and services delivery consequently suffer.

“Most municipalities received less than 4 out of 10. This should leave the management of these municipalities worried,” said Mr Dr Eugene Brink, manager of the centre.
