No running water for 14 days in Clewer

On Monday morning, August 16 water returned to the taps in Clewer, but it was short lived and then there was no water again.

Not having running water is so frustrating, but to not have running water for 14 days is unbelievable and the residents in Clewer do not know what to do anymore without water.

On Monday morning, August 16 water returned to the taps in Clewer, but it was short lived and then there was no water again.

At this current stage the plots and agricultural side of Clewer is without water and there is no explanation why there is no water.

One resident living there has contact numerous people from Emalahleni City Council to find out what the problem is and when it will be fixed.

It is still unclear what the main problem is and why the people in Clewer do not have water.

Since the water has been off for 14 days, it’s alleged that the water tanker has only been to the area twice delivering water.

“I have to drive to town to get water for the house and I am not sure how long its going to go on like this,” said the resident.

In February this year the WITBANK NEWS reported on a similar problem in Clewer where the smallholdings were without water for almost two months.

Comment from the Emalahleni City Council is still pending.
