Miss Classy Teen pageants contribute in a meaningful way

The beauties from Miss Classy Teen pageantry motivated kids at Madressa Orphanage.

The pageants of Miss Classy Teen pageantry have visited Madressa Orphanage in Pine Ridge where they spend some time with the kids.

The pageants have baked a cake and some muffins and even played some games with the kids on Friday, July 23. They encouraged them to not take themselves for granted because of their lives’ situation.

This initiative has left the founder of Madressa Orphanage, Ms Sonto Nyembezi in a very emotional state with tears in her eyes because it has reminded her of her early ages back in 1997, and she shared a very painful story.

“Back in the days we had family problems and I ended up staying in the streets of Kriel. Unfortunately, life continued to be salty on me, and I ended up being raped while staying on the streets. From then I made a promise to myself that I don’t want to see any child experiencing what I’ve experienced, hence today I have this orphanage home for the less privileged kids,” Sonto told WITBANK NEWS.

While kids were enjoying some quality time with their role models, one of the MCT semi-finalists, Reoletetse Masole felt a need to explain MCT as a way of encouraging them to join and be the future Miss Classy Teen of eMalahleni one day.

“Miss Classy Teen is a newly founded pageant by Simphiwe Nxumalo and Lindo Mahlangu that empowers and encourages all females interested in pageantry to enter irrespective of race, religion, size, or shape. It also develops entrepreneurial skills as it gives every contestant a platform to sell a variety of products.”

She added that MCT is unique because it exposes the pageants, not only to the pageantry side of modelling but also runway/fashion shows of modelling as it has partnered with one of eMalahleni’s well-known fashion shows, Miss Legs Talent Agency SA to develop contestants participating in the pageant.

Reoletetse concluded by saying that this is not their first initiative of giving back to the community as the representatives of Miss Classy Teen.

They also took part in giving the taxi drivers some goods as a way of showing them that they appreciate them for protecting eMalahleni from being looted and they also donated clothes to the New Life Church children’s home.

The MCT also thanked ma’am Sonto for all her hard work in taking care of the children and they encouraged her to not give up on them because she is doing well in raising the beautiful, strong leaders of tomorrow.
